For all the locals and foreign travellers, every hotel and resort has their own set of rules and regulations, which the guests are bound to follow. One of those policies is to show a valid government identification proof while checking-in at a hotel. Guests need to possess a government authorized identification proof, which can easily be fulfilled by the documents such as driver’s license, state ID card or passport. These documents are asked to ensure guest’s security and it is also mandatory for the hotels by the law authorities to verify the identity of the guests.

One thing that everyone should keep in mind is that though PAN card is a photo id proof, it cannot be shown as an ID card at the time of checking-in.
