  1. Bangalore Palace

Established in 1971, this National Park is the ultimate haven for all the wildlife enthusiasts. Comprising of a rich biodiversity, it is spread over a whopping expanse of 104.27 sq. km. This park is conspicuous for housing the first butterfly park of the country. Embark on a fun-filled jungle safari or explore some of the other attractions that this park houses – an aquarium, a zoo, Children’s park, Crocodile Farm, Snake Park, Prehistoric Animals’ Park and a museum. Cascading with tremendous force from a height of almost 50 ft, Chunchi Falls is a major tourist site. Germinating from River Arkavati, it lies along the way to the confluence of Mekedatu, a rocky valley, and Sabgama. Enclosed by lush green scrubs, this is one of the most picturesque waterfalls in the vicinity of Bangalore. Deriving its name from a tribal couple Chuncha and Chunchi, this breathtaking river is a popular picnic site visited by all those seeking to explore a pristine landscape without any imprints of commercialization. It also has an impressive watch tower offering a panoramic view of this gorgeous scene.

  1. Bull Temple

Another thing that you can do in Bangalore in a day is to visit the famed Bull Temple. Popularly called Nandi Temple, this venerated shrine is believed to be the biggest temples devoted to Nandi, the vehicle of Lord Shiva. It is a major pilgrimage site for Shaivites. The central idol of the deity is anointed with coconut oil, butter and ‘benne’. There is also mesmerizing temple of Lord Ganesh carved entirely out of butter. The Prasad of the temple is believed to be made out of this butter.
