Hara Chana Hariyala

A crunchy Munchy starter made with Garbanzo beans, fruits and nuts.

Prep time 10 mins, Cooking time 10 mins, Serves 4

Ingredients :                                             

1 tbsp butter

1 cup finely chopped onions

3-4 green chillies finely chopped

2 cups of boiled hara chana (garbanzo beans)

1 cup finely chopped tomatoes

1 tsp chaat masala

2 tbsp roasted cashewnuts

1 tbsp anardana( pomogrenate seeds)

1 tsp fine chopped plum

Salt to taste

½ tbsp lemon juice

1 tbsp chopped coriander

4 papads roasted in the shape of a cone

8-10 baked papadis, crushed to garnish.

2 tbsp sev, to garnish

Method :

1) Heat butter in a pan, add onions and saute it till translucent.

2) Add green chillies, green chana, ginger tomatoes, chat masala, cashewnuts, anardana, plum and salt and saute it for another 2 minutes.

3) Add the lemon juice and coriander and mix well.

4) Serve hot in conical papads,with crushed Papadis and sev.
